2019年5月3日，美国Hyundai Motor America, Inc., of Fountain Valley, CA、韩国Hyundai Motor Company of Seoul, Republic of Korea向美国ITC提出337立案调查申请，主张对美出口、在美进口和在美销售的该产品侵犯了其专利权（美国商标注册号1,104,727、3,991,863、1,569,538、4,065,195），请求美国ITC发布有限排除令、禁止令。
